Today we are sharing with you a wedding we photographed at Alexander Park, a wedding venue located near Ledbury, Herefordshire. Emily and Evren got married here at the end of July this year, surrounded by their closest friends and family, some of which traveled all the way from Turkey to be with them on this day. It was an English-Turkish wedding celebrated in an English Style.
Emily’s brother introduced her to our work; she had a look at our website early in March this year, when we had just launched it under this name. She came to the Munstone House Wedding Fayre to meet us in person, after liking our photography online and very shortly after that she booked us as photographers for their Alexander Park wedding. Emily’s parents added their personal touch to the day by bringing their favourite band to play for the young couple. Clive, the bride’s father, had been playing with some of them some years ago and they even played at his own wedding to Emily’s mother. Tippo, their drummer at the time, was Clive’s best man and he was a drummer on this wedding day as well, playing in his unique style, a lot of it from a standing position! The energy I have seen in this 69 year old drummer is fantastic, as I am sure you can tell from the photos below. Today the band is called Andy & Tippo and they perform mainly oldies but goldies music, it was an absolute pleasure to hear them playing! I like old music more than anything, I have to confess, so I thoroughly enjoyed it.
The bride’s dress was from Sara Dawn Bridal in Malvern, the bridesmaids’ dresses are from Debenhams and the make-up and the hair for the entire bridal party have been done by the talented Anastassia and Rhian. Emily’s parents arranged all the flowers for this day, including all the bouquets and buttonholes; Clive runs a flower business, you can meet him in Hereford on any Market day! The colour theme was “gold”, and you can notice it from the table decorations all the way to the bride’s makeup. I think it really suited the day, the room and Emily’s eyes 🙂
To end the story, all I will say is that I am grateful to Emily & Evren for coming out with us in the rain for the bride and groom photographs, it was definitely worth it! Yes, we had relentless rain all day but everyone embraced it as it was: cool and chilled out (literally and figuratively). Enjoy the photos below:
