The day I officially launched my photography business under the new name has arrived!
On the 21st March 2015 I exhibited at my first wedding fayre – it was organised by DIVA Wedding Fayres at a popular wedding venue in Herefordshire, Munstone House. The fayre ran over two days, with different exhibitors each day. The most glorious weather blessed the weekend and even though the location was a little outside of Hereford, 89 brides made their way to Munstone House in the search of the wedding suppliers that most suited their taste.
Rich and I had about one month to prepare for this event. The website was in the process of being built and the whole Cat Beardsley Photography style and image was still under construction. I had ordered my business cards and flyers with the logo that I had at the time and then, in the process of creating the brand, we decided to go for a different logo. I now have the lovely antlers logo designed by Diana at Small Bottle Creations, whom I couldn’t recommend highly enough!
For my exhibition table, I went for a simple, classic layout that represented my style very well. I had two FOLIO Albums to show, in different sizes, covers and paper types, to give my potential customers a real & live experience of the textures, colours and shapes of what such a lovely album can represent. My albums had a real impact on the people that paused by my table for a little while. I invited them to touch the paper and hold the albums, I was so thrilled in telling them about FOLIO and the great care they put into their products. I showed them the TLC guide that they send together with their albums (I know, really lovely of them!) and the natural cotton bags and brown cardboard boxes that the albums come in as standard. I wish the FOLIO Albums team were there to see how impressed everyone was at the touch and the sight of the products.
I would also like to give special thanks to Mrs Badder from Badder Fabrics of Hereford for helping me with the lovely tablecloth for my exhibition. No detail of my table was left to chance and I the material, colour and overall look of the table cloth was very important to me. Both her and her daughter were very helpful and hemmed it beautifully.
I will now leave you with a few photos of my table:
