Today we are sharing with you a wedding we photographed at Alexander Park, a wedding venue located near Ledbury, Herefordshire. Emily and Evren got married here at the end of July this year, surrounded by their closest friends and family, some of which traveled all the way from Turkey to be with them on this day. It was an English-Turkish wedding celebrated in an English Style.
We had wanted to be photographers for a rustic marquee wedding for a little while, especially since March when we launched this website under the new name and defined our style: natural, timeless, honest and outdoors(y) wedding photography. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to photograph such a wedding this year!
Aylestone Court Hotel Weddings are bound to be very relaxed and fun weddings (a dream for photographers like me and Richard), and this is due to at least two reasons:
- the type of clients that would choose this location are likely to be ones that care about themselves and their guests enjoying the wedding day
- the family that has recently taken over the hotel are relaxed, friendly and very welcoming, doing their best for the event to be a success
Brobury House in Herefordshire in known for booking a small amount of intimate weddings every year but this time I wasn’t asked to photograph a Brobury House wedding. It was Jasmine’s Naming Ceremony and I had been recommended for my natural and unobtrusive style. I accepted to be the photographer for the day as I resonated with several different aspects: it was going to be an English garden tea party celebrating the naming of a little sweet girl for which her parents chose a characterful location that had meant something to them for very many years. There was meaning behind every aspect of this day and there was a fair amount of outdoor photography involved – this is what I love photographing!
The story of our Nairn engagement shoot started one month ago when we announced a trip to Scotland and the desire to find a real couple in love with the Highlands willing to let themselves be photographed by us in that magnificent place. The very first couple who responded were Kimberley and Dylan and we knew straight away they had a huge chance of being chosen. They not only loved Scotland very dearly but we could tell from their few lines how much they enjoy being with each other. There couldn’t be anything else that a photographer could ask for!
