Leigh and Matt were one of the very first couples to believe in our style of photography. Their Frogmill Inn wedding was booked about a year and half ago so we waited quite a bit for it. When we met and found out about their plans to personalise their wedding we were even more happy to be chosen to photograph it.
They are big fans of Harry Potter and all the sweet favours were Harry Potter inspired. The bride “stamped” all the labels herself, each and every single letter on them! She also made the personalised confetti on the tables, with their names and the date: Mr. and Mrs. Barton, 25 April 2015. St. Bartholomew’s Church in Churchdown was their chosen place for the wedding ceremony and as wedding photographers we were very impressed by the amount of natural light that this church provided us with, it was probably the best lit church that we have had the privilege to photograph a wedding ceremony in so far! The surroundings of the church were also breathtaking and we chose to do some of the Bride and Groom photographs there as the location afforded stunning views of the Gloucestershire countryside.
For their reception, they chose a wedding venue with a lot of character and good taste: The Frogmill Inn in Andoversford, a historic 16th-century stone property that is 7 miles from Cheltenham. The Frogmill Inn is a Marco Pierre White restaurant and the food there is absolutely amazing: organic products that are local, cooked to perfection and presented equally well; their rustic pub adds to the atmosphere with its roaring log-fire and the water-wheel outside in the garden. We would like to give special thanks to Andrew, the event manager at the Frogmill Inn who went above and beyond his duty to make sure everything ran according to the plan for the day. He truly is an event manager that understands the importance of photography on a wedding day.
This was the first time we were wedding photographers in Gloucestershire and are definitely looking forward to going back there soon. We saw some lovely pubs and weddings venues on our way back to Herefordshire.
