Matt and Bianca got married on a beautiful and sunny July day at a wedding venue called How Caple Court near Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire (UK). If you were wondering if elegant and relaxed can fit into one sentence, then their wedding is the proof. It was a serene and happy summers’ day, filled with lots of smiles, friends and family from both the UK and South Africa.
To describe their day, they reply: “Perfect, relaxed & good vibes!”
Venue wise, they wanted to find “somewhere relaxed with picturesque location & within close proximity to home & family. A venue that was less formal than some, which allowed us to put our own stamp on it.” How Caple Court is that and much more, I would say. The first striking & welcoming feature are the 11 acres of gardens from Edwardian times that are high above the River Wye with views toward the Forest of Dean and the Welsh Mountains. Matt and Bianca married in the medieval Church on the grounds, and then had their reception in the adjoining marquee to the Concert Barn, where they held their evening party.
“We enjoyed a chilled vibe & tried to fit our theme & decor in with the beautiful surroundings & countryside, with a hint of summertime fun (and sunflower bouquets) it was really easy to go from there. Try not stress too much, what will be will be. Remember it’s your day & your friends & family are there celebrating with it you. Enjoy every moment, it goes by so quickly.”
Advice on choosing your wedding photographer
“Meet with your photographer, have an informal chat with them and research them on line to see if they meet your style.” After an informal chat in Costa, they booked myself and Rich to photograph their wedding and also opted to have an album. They wanted to “look back on the memories of a fantastic day in years to come”. I remember to this day when I delivered their album and Matt saw it for the first time. There were so many smiles as he was re-living, page after page, their wedding day. He was over the moon with the design. Lovely Bianca, she had made my day some weeks before when, after I sent her the 1st album design I had made, she replied: “It’s perfect as it is, no changes please!”
So there were big smiles all around the room and I expressed my joy to have had such a lovely collaboration with them as people and how lucky we were to have met and Matt said: “I am a great believer that in business as well as in life, once you find the people you trust, give them full freedom to do what they have got to do and you’ll get the best out of them.” He also added: “this applies to you and Richard and also to my wife.”
