I am very happy to share with you today the Classy & Fun wedding of J & L that I photographed at Broadfield Court here in Herefordshire back in March! A mix of fantastic style and relaxed atmosphere, I thoroughly felt at home at their wedding. It was the largest wedding I photographed in the last 3 years, if not ever! Somehow, however, it didn’t feel at all as if I had 160 guests in front of me. I really can’t explain it, but it felt meaningful, personal and intimate actually!
I think the secret may lie in the elements that the bride shared below with us.

WEDDING STYLE
“The style of our wedding was to be full of personal touches, fun, laughter and family, in a rural setting that had a special blend of being classy and grand whilst also feeling homely and relaxed.”
DECOR
“All of our decor and colour scheme was very much around the spring season. The pastel blue added some colour into the marquee along with the incredible bold colours of our flowers from
Issy and Bella. We added personal touches like candles from the
Isle of Arran (Arran Aromatics ‘After the Rain’ candles) which is a place I’ve visited every year since I was 2 and also lots of photos of family who sadly couldn’t be with us on the day.”
THE DRESS
“My wedding dress was actually the first dress I tried on! I tried on plenty more to rule out other styles but I kept going back to the first dress I tried on. I never imagined wearing the dress I ended up picking so my advice would be to try on every shape and style as you never know what you’ll end up loving!”
THE PHOTOGRAPHY
“Photography is so important, especially now not having my Mum around, photos have become even more precious so having our wedding photos taken was massively important to us!
The reason we chose you, Cat, is because you were so relaxed and keen to make sure you captured all of the moments we wanted. We clicked with you straight away as you were so lovely and easy to chat to/communicate with and you were always so easy to contact! Thank you so much for being so fab!”
Thank you, my dears! I really couldn’t have been any luckier than to have you as my couple! The mix of classy & fun in a wedding with plenty of personal elements in a rural setting, elegant yet homely, like you described, as Broadfield Court is, matches perfectly my photographic style!
